Château Greysac

Château Greysac is a red wine producer located in the Médoc appellation of Bordeaux, France. The estate sits on the Left Bank of the Gironde estuary, in the northern section of the Médoc peninsula. Its wines carry the Médoc AOC designation, which applies to the broader appellation covering areas north of the more famous commune appellations such as Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe.

The Médoc AOC is known for producing structured, tannic red wines built primarily on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with Cabernet Franc typically playing a supporting role in the blend. The region's gravelly and clay-limestone soils, combined with the moderating maritime influence of the Atlantic and the Gironde, create conditions suited to slow, even ripening. Wines from this appellation tend to be food-friendly, with firm tannins and characteristic notes of dark fruit and earthy complexity.

Château Greysac produces a Médoc red blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, and is notably certified as Kosher, making it one of a relatively small number of Bordeaux estates producing wines under strict kosher supervision. Kosher winemaking requires that the production process from crush onward be handled by Sabbath-observant Jews, which introduces specific protocols into the cellar without altering the fundamental character or style of the wine.
