Caol Ila Distillery

Caol Ila Distillery is located on Islay, one of Scotland's principal whisky-producing islands in the Inner Hebrides. The distillery produces single malt Scotch whisky, a spirit category defined by production at a single distillery using malted barley and pot still distillation.

Islay whiskies are characterised by their use of heavily peated barley, which imparts distinctive smoky and phenolic notes.
