Quilceda Creek

Quilceda Creek is a Washington State winery located in the Columbia Valley AVA. Founded in 1978 by Alex Golitzin, the winery has remained family-owned and operated, with Alex's son Paul now serving as winemaker. The estate focuses exclusively on premium Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style red blends from Washington State vineyards.

The Columbia Valley AVA encompasses much of eastern Washington's wine country, characterized by a semi-arid continental climate with hot, dry summers and cold winters. This region benefits from long daylight hours during the growing season and significant diurnal temperature variation, which helps preserve acidity while allowing for full phenolic ripeness in red varietals. The diverse soils, ranging from basalt to loess, combined with precise irrigation control, create ideal conditions for Bordeaux varietals.

Quilceda Creek's approach centers on sourcing fruit from carefully selected vineyard sites throughout the Columbia Valley, with particular attention to old-vine Cabernet Sauvignon.
