The 2023 Louis Jadot Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Referts opens with refined aromas of white peach, lemon zest, acacia blossom, and a touch of toasted hazelnut. The palate is precise and elegant, balancing ripe orchard fruit with a vibrant thread of citrus and wet stone. Subtle oak lends gentle spice and texture without obscuring the wine’s crystalline minerality. The finish is long and poised, echoing with chalky tension and understated richness.
The last vintage for a site that's due for replanting, the 2020 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Referts (Domaine Louis Jadot) wafts from the glass with aromas of freshly baked bread, buttered popcorn, citrus zest and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, taut and concentrated, it's chiseled and mineral, with tangy acids and a chalky finish.
