Tasting notes
The Chardonnay Central Coast had full malolactic and aged 16 months in 10% new French oak. The nose has pure golden apple and quince scents with notes of charcuterie, cut hay, button mushroom, crushed hazelnuts, baker's yeast and spring honey. The palate is medium-bodied, intense and savory with bright citrus hints, juicy acidity and a long finish.

About this wine
Calera Winery's Central Coast Chardonnay represents a distinctly California approach to this classic white varietal. Sourced from the renowned Central Coast appellation, this wine captures the region's unique terroir, a blend of coastal influences and diverse microclimates that produce vibrant, mineral-driven expressions of Chardonnay with remarkable balance and complexity.
This white wine exhibits the hallmark characteristics of quality Central Coast Chardonnay: bright citrus and green fruit notes complemented by subtle yeasty undertones and mineral complexity that unfold into a long, satisfying finish. The 12.5% ABV ensures elegance and food-friendliness across a diverse range of pairings.
Versatile and refined, this Chardonnay pairs beautifully with shellfish, crab, and lobster, as well as creamy dishes featuring brie or goat cheese. It's equally at home alongside roasted chicken, delicate white fish, green vegetables, and pasta dishes. An excellent choice for fine dining settings, yacht entertaining, or villa wine collections seeking California sophistication.
