Onshore Cellars: Making Every Captain, Stewardess, Owner, Guest and Broker Look Outstanding
This is who we are. A specialist wine and spirits supplier founded by ex-yacht crew who understands exactly what every person in the provisioning chain needs — and why. The chief stewardess who needs to look exceptional at the dinner table. The captain who needs zero surprises. The owner who deserves complete transparency. The guests who deserve discovery. The broker whose reputation depends on the charter being everything they promised. We exist to make all of them look outstanding. The wine is how we do it.
Founded By Those Who Understand Yachting
The founders of Onshore Cellars are ex-yacht crew. This single fact separates us from every other wine supplier in the industry. We have stood in the pantry at midnight trying to find a bottle of something that a guest asked for six hours ago. We have written wine lists under time pressure for guests arriving tomorrow. We have managed a yacht cellar through a 10-week season and watched it run out of the wrong things. That operational experience is the foundation of everything we build.
We built the tools we wish we had had: the website, the portal, the AI search, the automatic tasting notes, the downloadable cards. We built them because we know what the interior team actually needs, not what a technology vendor imagines they might want.
The Numbers That Define Our Position
In our most recent full season: Whispering Angel in four formats and significant volume. Dom Pérignon across three vintages. Ruinart in cases. Cristal, Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rosé, Krug — all in meaningful quantities. Clase Azul and Don Julio 1942 in cases. DRC La Tâche across three vintages. Pétrus across six vintages. Château Margaux across ten vintages. Thousands of bottles of Provence rosé. Tens of millions of euros in total. This is the scale and the depth of what we provide — and what we can prove.
We supplied Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Pétrus, Château Margaux, Screaming Eagle, Dom Pérignon, Krug Clos du Mesnil, and The Macallan 25 Years to the world's finest yachts — all in the same season. This is what we do.
Our Location: The Riviera Advantage
2040 Chemin Saint-Bernard, Vallauris (06220), Alpes-Maritimes, France. Eight minutes from Port Pierre-Canto, Cannes. Fifteen minutes from Port Vauban, Antibes. Twenty-five minutes from Port Hercule, Monaco. Our location is not incidental — it is the infrastructure that makes same-day delivery possible throughout the peak charter season, and that gives us direct access to the finest négociants in France.
Our Team
Our team are serious wine professionals, not salespeople with a price list. They know the wines intimately — the producers, the vintages, the occasions each bottle is made for — and they bring that knowledge to bear on every provisioning conversation. They are available throughout the charter season and year-round for advance planning. They will tell you honestly if your wine list is wrong for your guest profile, even when that is not the easy thing to say. That honesty is part of the service.
The Competitor Question: Why Location and Stock Depth Are Non-Negotiable
Yacht wine provisioners exist across Europe. Some are based in the UK. Some in the Netherlands. Some are general food and beverage provisioners who also handle wine. None of them can do what Onshore Cellars does — and the reasons are structural, not personal.
A UK-based provisioner cannot deliver to a vessel in Cannes today. They cannot. Road freight takes 24 hours minimum; air freight is expensive and limited in what it can carry. They cannot hold season-ready stock of allocated prestige Champagne in a climate-controlled facility 8 minutes from Port Pierre-Canto, because their facility is not 8 minutes from Port Pierre-Canto. They cannot build and maintain direct relationships with French négociants in the same way that a business physically embedded in southern France can. And they cannot respond to the emergency call at 11am for a 2pm delivery, because the logistics chain is simply too long.
A general provisioner — food, drink, cleaning supplies, everything — is not a fine wine specialist. They do not hold allocations from Champagne houses. They do not have relationships with the importers who control DRC, Sassicaia, and Screaming Eagle. Their wine list is not curated by people who have spent years studying and working in fine wine specifically for the superyacht market. And they do not provide tasting notes, a client portal, a wine search tool, or any of the knowledge infrastructure that Onshore Cellars considers baseline service.
We are based here. We have the largest selection in the market. We have the allocations. We have the stock. We have the vehicle leaving the warehouse now. That is the combination that serves the world's finest yachts — and it is available exclusively from Onshore Cellars.
Who We Serve — and What We Do for Each of You
Onshore Cellars serves five distinct groups of people, each with different pressures, different reputations at stake, and different definitions of what outstanding provisioning looks like. We have thought carefully about all of them.
Chief Stewardesses
Your reputation lives in the details. The wine that arrives in perfect condition. The tasting note that lets you describe a grower Champagne with quiet authority. The reorder list that means provisioning for a returning guest takes twenty minutes rather than a morning. The collection page that lands in the owner's inbox looking like it was put together by a sommelier. We are not your supplier. We are the silent infrastructure behind your best work. You get the credit. That is exactly how it should be.
Owners
Your vessel is a statement. The wines aboard it should reinforce it — not undermine it with safe, predictable choices or, worse, inflated prices that quietly fund commissions you were never told about. You deserve to know that every euro spent on provisioning goes on wine and service. We offer complete pricing transparency, no undisclosed kickbacks, and a range that reflects genuine taste rather than distributor relationships. When your guests talk about the wine over dinner, they are talking about your vessel. We make sure what they say is memorable.
Captains
You are responsible for everything. The wine list, the delivery that did not arrive, the bottles that were stored at the wrong temperature, the charter that went short on the third evening. Your reputation with the owner depends in part on suppliers you can trust completely. We are that supplier: same-day delivery capability, cold chain without exception, live inventory so there are no surprises, and a team that answers the phone when you call at short notice. We remove the provisioning risk from your day so you can focus on the thousand other things that require your attention.
Charter Guests
The world's most discerning guests have experienced everything. What they remember is not what was expected — it is what surprised them. The wine that nobody ordered but everyone is still talking about a week later. The rosé that defined a Tuesday afternoon at anchor. The spirit after dinner that started a conversation that ran until midnight. We know these wines. We hold them. We put them aboard vessels so that moments like these happen by design rather than by accident. Preferences shared with us are remembered. The next charter begins where the last one left off.
Charter Brokers
The experiences you recommend define your reputation. When a charter fires on every cylinder — when guests come back with genuine enthusiasm about everything aboard, including the wine — you receive the credit and you earn the rebooking. We are the provisioner that honest, quality-focused brokers recommend, because we make the charter better and we never embarrass the relationship with undisclosed payments or compromised quality. We are the silent partner whose job is to make you look outstanding.
In the Background. Without Drama. Every Time.
The great Michelin-starred restaurants share one quality that defines everything else: you never see the effort. The kitchen is working at full intensity, the sommelier has been thinking about your table for an hour, the service has been choreographed to appear completely natural. You experience only the result. Seamless. Considered. Perfectly timed.
This is the standard we hold ourselves to. Onshore Cellars works in the background — building the reorder lists, maintaining the cold chain, sourcing the allocation, answering the 7am call about a departure that moved forward — so that by the time anyone at that table reaches for their glass, every decision that brought that wine there has already been made, checked, and delivered without a word of fuss. The chief stewardess looks exceptional. The captain looks in control. The owner looks like a person of impeccable taste. Nobody mentions the provisioner. That is exactly right.
The Foundation of Everything: Honesty
All of the above rests on a single foundation that we do not compromise: we are honest. Honest about what we have in stock. Honest about what we can deliver and when. Honest about our pricing. Honest with every client in every conversation, even when — especially when — the honest answer is not the most convenient one. In an industry that has not always covered itself in transparency, we believe that being genuinely trustworthy is the most powerful thing we can offer. Everything else follows from it.
