Código 1530 Reposado combines the purity of the Blanco tequila and the elegance of their aging process. Aged for six months in the finest Napa Valley Cabernet French White Oak wine barrels, Código 1530 Reposado embraces the agave-driven flavors of Los Bajos tequila, with subtle hints of many of the signature flavors found in whiskeys. Napa Cabernet wine barrels are charred by hand, on-site at their private distillery in Amatitán. Codigo 1530 tequila is aged to taste instead of time, adhering to a time-honored family aging process. Bright, sweet agave notes with the added complexity of vanilla, toasted caramel and subtle cocoa powder.

Ingredients

  • 60 ml Codigo 1530 Reposado
  • 30 ml Fresh lime juice
  • 15 ml Agave nectar
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Method

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Add the Codigo 1530 Reposado, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar.
  3. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
  4. Double-strain the mixture into a chilled coupe glass.
  5. Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters on top of the cocktail.

Serve

Coupe glass, garnish with a lime wheel placed on the rim of the glass.
