Denne Riesling er tålmodigt dyrket på en granitklippe, der næsten flugter med jorden og er eksponeret mod syd, og den nyder godt af de bedste betingelser for at producere en enestående vin. Schlossberg er også den ældste og arealmæssigt største af Grands Crus i Alsace. Næsen er floral og fin med noter af pære og rabarber. Paletten har et fløjlsagtigt touch i munden, angreb og mineralsk spyt, god længde og subtil frugtighed (gule frugter, pære i sirup).
