Luxardo is an Italian liqueur producer established in 1821 in Zadar, now part of Croatia, before relocating to the Veneto region of Italy following World War II. The company specializes in traditional Italian liqueurs, with their flagship Maraschino liqueur being one of the most recognized examples of this category worldwide. Luxardo operates from their facility in Torreglia, in the province of Padova, where they continue to produce liqueurs using traditional methods and recipes passed down through generations.

The Veneto region provides an ideal environment for liqueur production, with access to high-quality fruits and a climate conducive to distillation and aging processes. Luxardo's production centers on fruit-based liqueurs, utilizing both local and imported ingredients depending on the specific product. Their Maraschino liqueur is made from Marasca cherries, including the pits, which are distilled and aged in Finnish ash wood vats for a minimum of two years.
