Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste is a renowned wine producer located in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux, France. This historic estate has been producing exceptional wines for over 400 years and is considered one of the top producers in the region.

The estate has a long and fascinating history, dating back to the 16th century when it was owned by the Gasqueton family. In 1932, the estate was acquired by the current owners, the Borie family, who have continued to uphold the traditions and standards of excellence set by the Gasqueton family. Today, the estate is run by François-Xavier Borie, who is the fourth generation of his family to manage the property.

The vineyards of Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste cover 90 hectares, with 75% of the land dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% to Merlot, and 5% to Cabernet Franc. The vineyards are situated in an ideal location, with gravelly soil and a microclimate that is perfect for growing high-quality grapes. The vineyards are sustainably farmed, with a focus on preserving the land and ensuring the health of the vines.

The wines produced by Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste are known for their elegance, complexity, and ageability. The estate's flagship wine, Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste, is a blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with smaller amounts of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. It is aged in French oak barrels for 18-20 months, resulting in a wine with intense aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, and tobacco, and a long, lingering finish.

In addition to their flagship wine, Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste also produces a second wine, Lacoste-Borie, which is a blend of younger vines from the estate. This wine offers a more approachable and affordable option for those looking to experience the quality of this esteemed producer.
