The 2017 Pic Saint Loup Grande Cuvee spent 18 months in oak, leaving it with a sheen of cedar and vanilla layered over dark plum and blackberry fruit. Full-bodied and concentrated, it's also supple and ripe, with notes of chocolate and liquorice on the long finish, yet those elements are balanced by hints of crushed stone that provide a bit of freshness.
