Nyetimber is an English sparkling wine producer based in West Sussex, established in 1988 when Stuart and Sandy Moss planted the first vineyard on the South Downs. The estate focuses exclusively on traditional method sparkling wines made from the classic Champagne grape varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.

The West Sussex location places Nyetimber in the heart of southern England's emerging wine region, where the chalk soils and maritime climate create conditions similar to those found in Champagne. The South Downs provide excellent drainage and sun exposure, while the English climate contributes to the high natural acidity that characterizes quality sparkling wine production. Nyetimber follows traditional Champagne methods, including hand-harvesting, whole-bunch pressing, and extended lees aging.

The producer's Classic Cuvée represents their foundational expression, blending all three traditional grape varieties to create a wine that reflects the terroir of their West Sussex vineyards. This multi-vintage approach allows for consistency while showcasing the distinctive character that English sparkling wines have developed over the past few decades.
