Fine and taut nose. Nutmeg and clove open the show in all of their glory. Quirky and playful, it then moves towards a floral intensity (vetiver, geranium blossom). Black pepper and peppermint gradually arrive to further accentuate its spiced, floral character. Creamy and dynamic palate. The same spices settle on the tip of the tongue. The setting suddenly changes, with a creamy aspect flooding the palate with an apricot yoghurt sensation. The finish is empyreumatic (ash, cypress), lemony (Aix lemon sweets) and floral (orange blossom). Overall tender, refreshingly menthol. The gin returns to its natural spiced state (clove, star anise, cardamom). Next, a handful of dried fruits (cashew nuts, almonds) as well as other just-ripe fruits (pear, peach) clear the way for an oily (olive) and aniseed-infused retronasal olfaction. Once empty, the glass remains true to the nose and palate: floral and spiced (clove).
