Feudi di San Gregorio is a prominent wine producer based in the Campania region of southern Italy, specifically in the province of Avellino. Established in 1986, this winery has played a crucial role in revitalizing the local wine industry and bringing international attention to indigenous varietals such as Greco and Fiano. Feudi di San Gregorio is celebrated for combining modern winemaking techniques with traditional practices, highlighting the unique terroir of the region.

One of their notable wines is the PietraCalda, crafted from 100% Fiano grapes, a variety renowned for its aromatic profile and aging potential. PietraCalda is part of their premium range, showcasing the capabilities of Fiano in expressing the minerality and complexity that characterize the soils of Irpinia. Campania is a region in southern Italy that is known for producing some of the country's most unique and flavorful wines. The region has a long history of winemaking, dating back to ancient times when the Greeks first introduced grape cultivation to the area.

The style of production in Campania is heavily influenced by the region's volcanic soil, which is rich in minerals and nutrients that give the wines a distinct character. The most famous grape varieties grown in Campania are Aglianico, Fiano, and Greco, which are used to produce a range of red, white, and sparkling wines.

Aglianico is the most widely planted grape in Campania and is used to produce full-bodied red wines with intense flavors of dark fruit, spice, and earth. Fiano and Greco are both white grape varieties that produce crisp, refreshing wines with notes of citrus, apple, and mineral.

Overall, Campania is a region that is known for producing wines with a strong sense of place and a unique character that reflects the region's history and terroir. Whether you are looking for a bold red wine or a crisp white, Campania has something to offer for every wine lover.
