Delamotte

Delamotte is a prestigious champagne house that has been producing exceptional sparkling wines since 1760. Located in the heart of the Champagne region, specifically in the village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Delamotte is known for its elegant and refined cuvées that showcase the unique terroir of the area.

As one of the oldest and most respected champagne houses, Delamotte has a long history of producing high-quality wines. The house was founded by François Delamotte, who started as a wine merchant and eventually purchased vineyards in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger to produce his own champagne. In 1837, Delamotte was acquired by the prestigious House of Laurent-Perrier, and since then, it has been producing some of the most sought-after champagnes in the world.

One of the defining characteristics of Delamotte champagnes is their use of Chardonnay grapes from the Côte des Blancs region. This area is known for its chalky soils, which give the wines their distinctive minerality and freshness. Delamotte also sources grapes from other premier cru and grand cru vineyards in the region, ensuring the highest quality of fruit in their wines.

Delamotte produces a range of champagnes, including their flagship Blanc de Blancs, which is made entirely from Chardonnay grapes. This cuvée is known for its delicate floral aromas, creamy texture, and vibrant acidity. The House also produces a Brut and a Rosé, both of which are made from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier grapes, resulting in complex and well-balanced wines.

In addition to their exceptional champagnes, Delamotte also produces a range of still wines, including a Blanc de Blancs and a Blanc de Noirs made from Pinot Noir grapes. These wines showcase the versatility and expertise of the house in producing high-quality wines outside of the traditional champagne
