One of the rising stars in the wine industry is the Dönnhoff winery, located in the Nahe region of Germany. This family-owned and operated winery has been producing exceptional wines since 1750 and is known for its commitment to tradition and quality.

The Nahe region, situated along the Nahe River, is known for its diverse terroir and microclimate that allows for the cultivation of a wide range of grape varieties. This unique environment, combined with the expertise of the Dönnhoff family, has resulted in some of the most sought-after wines in Germany.

Dönnhoff’s vineyards cover a total of 27 hectares, with a focus on Riesling and Burgundy varietals. The winery follows organic and sustainable practices, with a minimal intervention approach in the vineyards and winemaking process. This results in wines that truly reflect the terroir and the characteristics of each vintage.

One of the most iconic wines from Dönnhoff is the Riesling Trocken, made from grapes grown on the steep slopes of the Schlossberg vineyard. This dry Riesling encapsulates the essence of the Nahe region, with its mineral-driven and complex flavors. Another standout wine is the Hermannshöhle Riesling, which is considered one of the best Rieslings in Germany. This wine is produced from grapes grown on a single vineyard, known for its slate soil and steep slopes, producing a wine with intense aromas of peach, apricot, and citrus.

Aside from their world-renowned Rieslings, Dönnhoff also produces exceptional Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir. These wines are crafted with the same level of attention and care as their Rieslings, resulting in a diverse and impressive portfolio.

At Onshore Cellars, we are proud to offer a selection of Dönnhoff wines, including their flagship Rieslings and other var
