In 1870, Maurice Hennessy created Hennessy X.O. for his circle of friends, introducing a new style of cognac. Hennessy X.O is the original and emblematic icon of the Hennessy Maison. Deep and powerful, the eaux-de-vie in Hennessy X.O cognac are aged in young barrels, showcasing their strength and energy while also developing a remarkable roundness over time. The Hennessy Tasting Committee has meticulously explored every aspect of the blend and identified several emotions, which are expressed through an Odyssey consisting of seven chapters: Sweet Notes: The palate is warmly embraced by flavors of candied fruit. Rising Heat: An intriguing sensation of intense, rising heat gradually reveals the complex taste of eaux-de-vie aged patiently in oak barrels. Spicy Edge: A prominent spicy note tantalizes the lips and palate, featuring a distinct peppery flavor intertwined with a hint of chocolate. Flowing Flame: A wave of warmth grows, crests, and breaks, revealing a robust presence that is full and voluptuous. Chocolate Lull: There is a gradual discovery of something familiar—the well-rounded flavor of rich, dark chocolate. Wood Crunches: A striking sensation emerges as the vigorous ebb and flow of oak notes intertwine with vanilla. Infinite Echo: The fleeting oak notes create a long, omnipresent finish that feels endless, echoing all the subtleties of each taste and sensation that came before.

Ingredients:
- 60 ml Hennessy XO
- 15 ml Cointreau
- 15 ml lemon juice
- 1 dash of orange bitters
- 1 orange peel for garnish

Instructions:
1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
2. Add Hennessy XO, Cointreau, lemon juice, and orange bitters.
3. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
4. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
5. Garnish with an orange peel twist.
