Thick and richly endowed, the 2016 Il Pino di Biserno (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon) is a full-bodied Tuscan blend with dark fruit, spice, tobacco, tar and liquorice, all delivered with seamless execution and care. This wine offers thick density followed by deep layers of sweet spice and succulent black fruit.
Rich, dark ruby red. On the nose there are notes of ripe Amarena cherry and dark wild berries, a slightly fleshy note in the echo and a hint of chocolate and black tea. On the palate it is very elegant and mouth-filling, salty and harmonious with a long and fruity finish.

The 2013 Il Pino di Biserno is a gorgeous wine with a force of energy and liveliness that is uncommon to see in a wine of this extract and sophistication. Dark fruit tones of blackberry, plum and dried cherry are immediately followed by spice, leather, and tobacco. The effect is soothing, intense, and compelling. This is a beautiful wine from a classic vintage, but the tannins are on the young side. It needs a minimum of three to five more years of cellar ageing to show the splendour that this wine holds within.
