S de Siran 2018, hailing from the prestigious Margaux appellation, is a delightfully expressive wine that beautifully showcases its terroir. The wine opens with an inviting aroma of fresh red and black fruits, like cherries and blackcurrants, intertwined with floral notes of lilac and a hint of peppery spice. As you taste, the vibrant fruit flavors are complemented by a subtle earthiness and smooth tannins, creating a well-balanced and medium-bodied profile. The finish is elegant and persistent, with a pleasing touch of minerality.
The S de Siran, the deuxième vin of Siran, is not usually sold en primeur. It offers dried violet petals on the nose, a melange of red and black fruit, the oak nicely integrated. The palate is smooth and quite fleshy, well balanced with sappy black fruit on the finish that leaves you with a pepper aftertaste. Give this a couple of years in bottle.
The 2016 S de Siran is a blend of 58% Merlot and 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, this Deuxieme Vin actually not released during en primeur. It offers light black, slightly earthy fruit on the nose that need to show a touch more vigor once in bottle. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, perhaps just a little rustic in style, but there is good body here and it should drink well for 4-5 years after bottling.
The S de Siran 2019, hailing from the Margaux appellation in Bordeaux, France, is a captivating red blend that exudes elegance and complexity. On the palate, this wine reveals a harmonious balance of ripe blackberry and cassis, intertwined with subtle hints of violet and a touch of oak. The tannins are silky and well-integrated, contributing to a smooth and refined texture. The aroma complements the taste, with layers of dark fruit mingling with earthy undertones and a whisper of spice.
