Sec - Champagne

Sec - Champagne is a prestigious wine producer located in the Champagne region of France. Founded in 1936 by Robert and Solange Forget, the winery has a long-standing tradition of producing high-quality Champagnes that are enjoyed around the world.

The Champagne region, located in northeastern France, is known for its cool climate, chalky soil, and specific winemaking techniques that result in the production of the famous sparkling wine. It is divided into five main areas: Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, Côte des Blancs, Côte des Bar, and Côte de Sézanne. Each of these areas has its own unique terroir, which contributes to the distinct characteristics of the Champagnes produced there.

Sec - Champagne is situated in the Vallée de la Marne, an area known for its Pinot Meunier grape variety. This grape, along with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, are the three main varieties used in Champagne production. Sec - Champagne takes pride in using only the best grapes from their own vineyards, as well as carefully selected grapes from trusted partner growers in the region.

The winery has a range of Champagnes, each showcasing the unique characteristics of the Vallée de la Marne terroir. The Sec - Champagne Brut Tradition is a blend of all three grape varieties, with a dominant presence of Pinot Meunier. This results in a vibrant and fruity Champagne with a delicate floral aroma and a long, crisp finish. On the other hand, the Sec - Champagne Rosé is a blend of Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, giving it a beautiful pink hue and a fruity, yet complex flavor profile.

Aside from their classic Champagnes, Sec - Champagne also produces a vintage Champagne, the Sec - Champagne Vintage 2012. This wine is made from carefully selected grapes from the exceptional 2012 harvest and aged for six years in the cellar,
