Tasting notes
This full-bodied Tuscan red is not at all overtly ripe. Instead, it opens with a delightful mineral note of graphite or lead pencil, which gives the wine welcome contouring. At its core it is velvety and richly textured, yet it remains seamless, with a very pleasurable sweetness. Hints of vanilla and spice add further interest.

About this wine
Guado al Tasso is a renowned producer of Bolgheri Superiore wines, located in the heart of the Bolgheri DOC in Tuscany, Italy. With a history dating back to the 14th century, the estate was acquired by the Antinori family in 1999 and has since been producing exceptional wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. The Bolgheri Superiore is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, carefully selected and hand-harvested before being aged in French oak barrels for 14-18 months. The resulting wine is a deep ruby red with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and vanilla, full-bodied with firm tannins and a long, complex finish.
Guado al Tasso also produces a range of other wines, including Vermentino, a white wine made from the Vermentino grape, and Il Bruciato, a red wine made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. These wines are also of exceptional quality and reflect the unique terroir of the Bolgheri region.
Overall, Guado al Tasso is a producer of exceptional Bolgheri Superiore wines that are highly sought after by wine enthusiasts around the world. Their commitment to quality and tradition, combined with their innovative approach to winemaking, has earned them a well-deserved reputation as one of the top producers in Tuscany.
