Belangrijkste druiven:

Pinot noir komt oorspronkelijk uit de Bourgogne en deze wijnstokken bedekken 34% van de regio, goed voor 29% van de totale wijnproductie. De rode druif doet het uitstekend op kalk- en kleigrond, wat bijdraagt aan de complexiteit. Pinot noir wijnen uit Bourgondië variëren in kleur van kers tot baksteen, hebben een lichte body en hebben meestal rood fruit en kruidige smaken.
