On the palate, the body is globally delicate and fine, it is however enveloping, fresh and richly sapid. Particularly fruity but with a good mineral aftertaste, its white color reveals all the personality of the maremmatic terroir, reveals a precise and centered harmony and a surprising persistence, able to accompany light but ample and frank Mediterranean preparations.

Antinori è il nome più famoso del vino italiano e l'influenza di Piero Antinori negli ultimi 25 anni è stata a dir poco rivoluzionaria. Il vino di punta di Antinori, il Tignanello, apparve per la prima volta nel 1971 e fece scalpore per l'uso del Cabernet Sauvignon in un uvaggio di Sangiovese e per la pratica dell'invecchiamento in piccole barrique francesi. Antinori fu accusato di tradimento vinicolo, ma ben presto i blend di Sangiovese e Cabernet invecchiati in barrique cominciarono ad apparire in tutta la Toscana.
