Fundada en 1731 en Beaune por Michel Bouchard, Bouchard Père & Fils es una de las bodegas de vino más antiguas de Borgoña, perpetuando la tradición durante casi 3 siglos y 9 generaciones. En 1775, Joseph Bouchard adquirió sus primeros viñedos en Volnay en el famoso clima "Les Caillerets" y comenzó a desarrollar las tenencias de viñedos de la familia.

Durante la Revolución Francesa, las propiedades que pertenecían al clero y la nobleza fueron confiscadas y puestas a la venta. El hijo de Joseph, Antoine Philibert Joseph Bouchard, aprovechó la oportunidad para ampliar las tenencias de viñedos de la familia en Beaune, incluyendo el famoso "Beaune Grèves Vigne de l'Enfant Jesus".

Este deseo de construir una bodega excepcional en Côte d'Or perduró a través de las generaciones y se añadieron adquisiciones en los mejores pueblos a lo largo del siglo XIX y nuevamente a principios del siglo XX.

Montrachet is one of the most prestigious and revered wine appellations in the world, located in the Burgundy region of France, specifically within the Côte de Beaune area.
