The 2021 Reserve Chardonnay has a medium-straw coloured core with a slightly hazy rim. It is layered, complex and fresh with aromas of lemon skin and yellow cherries before soft, oaky essence sway from the glass. Medium-bodied, bright and vibrant, a fine mineral tension dances across the mid-palate, showing excellent action before ending with a beautiful finish that exudes elegance and finesse.
Made with 30% new Taransaud French oak, the 2022 Reserve Chardonnay offers a full expression of harmonious tree fruit, offering layers of Meyer lemon skin and yellow apples with a soft undertone of sautéed almond. Medium-bodied, it offers gobs of elegance and finesse while showcasing an immaculate balance of fresh fruit, mineral tension and mouthwatering acidity. This Chardonnay is complex with the perfect amount of oak backbone so as not to overpower and mask the fruit's natural beauty. It is harmonious and elegant and has me coming back for more. This could easily be confused for Burgundy. Wow!
