The 2019 Dominus is blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc, aged in 40% new French oak. Impressively dark-hued in the glass, it yields scents of cherries and cassis on the nose—or is it black cherries and redcurrants? Subtle notes of mocha, pencil shavings and almost Graves-like earthiness wind through the concentrated, medium to full-bodied palate, giving it a sense of savory gravitas, while the finish is silky and long, leaving a lingering residue of soft tannins and mouthwatering freshness.

Discover the depth and richness of Dominus Estate - Christian Moueix, crafted by the renowned Dominus Estate. Tasting notes 2013201220092006100 Points - The Wine Advocate"The 2013 Dominus is, to my way of thinking, one of the most profound wines Christian Moueix has yet made in his rather brilliant winemaking history, both in France and in Napa Valley. This wine, with very low yields of only 3,500 cases and a final blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc, offers up notes of cedar wood, forest floor, loamy soil and oodles of blackberry and blackcurrant fruit. Very opaque purple in color, super-pure and intense, this wine has low acidity, but ripe, noticeable tannins. This is a 30- to 40-year wine and a profound effort from this famous vineyard in Yountville." Robert Parker98+ Points - The Wine Advocate"The exuberance and drama in the stunning nose of the dense plum-colored 2012 Dominus offers up notes of Asian spice, ripe, black currants, kirsch, tobacco leaf and Christmas fruitcake. It is full-bodied and opulent, with no hard edges, a seamless integration of acidity, wood and tannin and a density and richness that are built to go on for 25-30 years.” Robert Parker97 Points - The Wine Advocate"The 2009 Dominus saw about 40% new oak compared to the 20% for Napanook. A seamless classic, it offers a symphony of red and black currants, Asian plum sauce, lavender, and underbrush. Sweet Christmas fruitcake characteristics emerge from this magnificent Dominus that finished at 14.5% natural alcohol (slightly higher than usual). The seamless integration of acidity, tannin, wood and alcohol, the brilliant length and overall compelling complexity and richness make it one of the great classics from this historic estate. It should drink well for 20-25 years. ” Robert Parker96 Points - The Wine Advocate"There are 6,500 cases of the superb 2006 Dominus (91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot). Its dark plum/purple color is accompanied by aromas and flavors of truffles, forest floor, black cherries, black currants, and Asian spices. One of the finest wines of the vintage, it is complete, full-bodied, and seamlessly built with beautiful ripe tannins, low acidity, and a luscious, layered mouthfeel. The aromatics are even more evolved and complex than the 2005's.” Robert ParkerAbout the producerDominus Estate is the Napa Valley property of Bordeaux producer Christian Moueix. Dominus Estate is a renowned wine producer located in the heart of Napa Valley, California. The estate was founded in 1983 by Christian Moueix, a French winemaker who is also the owner of Château Pétrus in Bordeaux. Dominus Estate is known for producing some of the finest Bordeaux-style blends in the world.

The estate is situated on 124 acres of land, with 60 acres dedicated to vineyards. The vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot grapes. The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted to ensure only the highest quality fruit is used in the winemaking process.

The winemaking process at Dominus Estate is a combination of traditional and modern techniques. The grapes are fermented in small stainless steel tanks, and then aged in French oak barrels for 18-20 months. The wine is then bottled unfiltered to preserve its natural flavors and aromas.

Dominus Estate produces two wines: Dominus and Napanook. Dominus is the flagship wine of the estate, and is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Napanook is a second wine, made from younger vines and is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc.

Dominus Estate has a rich history, dating back to the 1830s when the land was first settled by George Yount. The estate was later owned by John Daniel Jr., who was responsible for planting the first Cabernet Sauvignon vines in the Napa Valley. Christian Moueix purchased the estate in 1983, and has since transformed it into one of the most respected wineries in the world.

Dominus Estate has received numerous accolades over the years, including a perfect 100-point score from wine critic Robert Parker for the 2013 vintage of Dominus. The estate is also certified organic and biodynamic, reflecting its commitment to sustainable and environmentally-friendly winemaking practices.

In summary, Dominus Estate is a world-class winery that produces some of the finest Bordeaux-style blends in the world. Its commitment to quality, tradition, and sustainability has earned it a well-deserved reputation as one of the top wine producers in the Napa Valley and beyond.
