Lillet is a French aperitif wine producer based in Podensac, in the Bordeaux region. The house has been crafting aromatized wines since the late 19th century, blending white and red Bordeaux wines with fruit liqueurs and quinine. Lillet produces several variants of its signature aperitif, which falls into the category of quinquina—fortified wines flavored with cinchona bark.

The Lillet style centers on creating balanced aperitifs that combine the freshness of Bordeaux wines with carefully selected botanicals and citrus peels. The production method involves macerating fruits and spices in neutral alcohol before blending with wine and allowing the mixture to mature in oak vats. This process creates aperitifs with characteristic floral and citrus notes, moderate sweetness, and a subtle bitter finish from the quinine.

The current range includes a rosé expression made with Muscadelle, showcasing the producer's use of traditional Bordeaux grape varieties. Muscadelle, typically used as a blending grape in white Bordeaux wines, contributes aromatic intensity and floral character to the final product.
