Distilled with the lees and aged only in small, fine-grained French oak barrels, our Very Special is characterized by an extremely high concentration of esters, giving intense aromas of summer fruits and subtle spices. Camus Very Special is a blend of carefully selected eaux-de-vie restoring the quintessence of the flavors of the Charente terroir, characterized by rich fruity aromas enhanced with touches of spice. This profile is the result of a distillation aimed specifically at highlighting the highly aromatic components as well as a careful tasting process led by our cellar master throughout the maturation period to create the perfect barrel combination for the final blend of this intensely aromatic cognac.

Cognac is a type of brandy that is produced in the Cognac region of France. The history of Cognac dates back to the 16th century, when Dutch traders began distilling wine to create a spirit that could withstand long sea voyages. The process of making Cognac involves distilling wine twice in copper pot stills, and then aging the resulting spirit in oak barrels for a minimum of two years.

One of the most highly ranked Cognac producers is Hennessy. Founded in 1765, Hennessy is the largest Cognac producer in the world. Their Cognacs are known for their smoothness and complexity, with notes of vanilla, oak, and fruit. Hennessy produces a range of Cognacs, from their entry-level VS (Very Special) to their high-end Paradis Imperial.

Another highly ranked Cognac producer is Remy Martin. Founded in 1724, Remy Martin is known for their high-quality Cognacs that are aged for longer than the minimum two years. Their Cognacs are characterized by their rich, fruity flavors and aromas, with notes of apricot, peach, and honey.
