It is a lively and luminous white wine from this flagship estate in Campania. This Fiano excels with its simplicity, frankness and aromatic intensity. Behind a superb bright straw yellow colour, it reveals spicy aromas of fresh flowers such as chamomile, but also flavours of freshly picked orchard fruits, such as minty apple. We appreciate the tight and silky texture that characterises this versatile grape variety. This bottle is perfectly balanced by great freshness and beautiful minerality.
With 80,000 specially designed ribbed bottles released, the Feudi di San Gregorio 2021 Fiano di Avellino Pietracalda is super pristine and precise with white peach, citrus basket, crunchy pear and powdered oyster shell. The effect is sharp and laser-focused to both the nose and the palate. Fresh acidity seals the deal. This wine spends a brief four months in stainless steel.

Feudi di San Gregorio is a prominent wine producer based in the Campania region of southern Italy, specifically in the province of Avellino. Established in 1986, this winery has played a crucial role in revitalizing the local wine industry and bringing international attention to indigenous varietals such as Greco and Fiano. Feudi di San Gregorio is celebrated for combining modern winemaking techniques with traditional practices, highlighting the unique terroir of the region.

One of their notable wines is the PietraCalda, crafted from 100% Fiano grapes, a variety renowned for its aromatic profile and aging potential. Campania is a region in southern Italy that is known for producing some of the country's most unique and flavorful wines. The region has a long history of winemaking, dating back to ancient times when the Greeks first introduced grape cultivation to the area.

The style of production in Campania is heavily influenced by the region's volcanic soil, which is rich in minerals and nutrients that give the wines a distinct character. The most famous grape varieties grown in Campania are Aglianico, Fiano, and Greco, which are used to produce a range of red, white, and sparkling wines.

Aglianico is the most widely planted grape in Campania and is used to produce full-bodied red wines with intense flavors of dark fruit, spice, and earth. Fiano and Greco are both white grape varieties that produce crisp, refreshing wines with notes of citrus, apple, and mineral.

Overall, Campania is a region that is known for producing wines with a strong sense of place and a unique character that reflects the region's history and terroir. Whether you are looking for a bold red wine or a crisp white, Campania has something to offer for every wine lover.
