The 2022 Pinot Noir features bold notes of cherries, cinnamon and wood spice. It’s medium to full-bodied and silky across the mid-palate, finishing long and softly tannic. Nicely balanced and structured, it should age well for more than a decade.
Founded by Mark and Teresa Aubert two decades ago, Aubert is a boutique estate that produces wine from single-vineyard sites in Napa Valley and Sonoma. This release is their 2020 Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley, one of Sonoma`s top-ranked wine regions. The vintage was dry and warm, which drove the vines to produce small, intensely flavoured grapes. Expect a wine with luscious fruit, rich texture and vibrant acidity.

Establishing Aubert Wines: Mark Aubert established his eponymous winery, Aubert Wines, in the early 2000s. He was determined to create wines that would reflect the unique terroir of the vineyards he sourced from, primarily in Sonoma County and Napa Valley. With a small production approach and meticulous attention to detail, Aubert Wines quickly gained recognition among wine enthusiasts and critics alike.

Vineyard Selection and Terroir: One of the key factors in Aubert Wines' success has been Mark's ability to source grapes from some of the finest vineyards in California. Some of the notable vineyards associated with Aubert Wines include Hudson, Ritchie, Lauren, Sugar Shack, and UV-SL.

Winemaking Philosophy: Mark Aubert is known for his commitment to minimal intervention winemaking. The result is wines that are both opulent and balanced, with a focus on purity of fruit and a strong sense of place.

Critical Acclaim: Aubert Wines quickly gained a reputation for producing some of the finest Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines in California. Critics consistently awarded high scores to their releases, and collectors eagerly sought after their limited production offerings.
