Medium to deep garnet-purple coloured, the Merlot hits the ground running with open-knit scents of baked black cherries, stewed plums, and boysenberries plus an undercurrent of wild sage, cloves, and tar. Medium-bodied, the palate offers a good amount of black fruit with loads of herbal accents and a chewy texture, finishing with a lively lift.

The 2016 Merlot is blended of 92% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple colored, it has a nose of plums, tar and Black Forest cake with earth and herbs scents. The medium to full-bodied palate is soft with good fruit concentration and an earthy finish.
