Sena is a Chilean winery established as a joint venture between Robert Mondavi and Eduardo Chadwick of Viña Errázuriz in 1995. Located in the Aconcagua Valley, approximately 65 miles north of Santiago, this collaboration was created to produce a single premium red wine that would showcase the potential of Chilean terroir using Bordeaux varietals.

The Aconcagua Valley benefits from a Mediterranean climate with significant diurnal temperature variation, influenced by both the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Andes Mountains to the east. The region's diverse soils, ranging from alluvial deposits to clay and limestone, provide ideal conditions for cultivating red grape varieties. This climate allows for extended ripening periods while maintaining natural acidity in the grapes.

The estate focuses exclusively on producing their flagship red blend, which combines Cabernet Sauvignon with Carmenère, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. This Bordeaux-style blend reflects both the terroir of the Aconcagua Valley and the winemaking philosophy of creating a wine that expresses the unique characteristics of Chilean viticulture while maintaining international standards of complexity and structure.
