Even with an appreciable volume, all of the 2021 Chardonnay Mannequin was barrel fermented and matured, spending eight months in 23% new French oak. Blended primarily from Santa Barbara and Sonoma sources (there is some Napa fruit, as well as 2.6% Viognier), it's toasty on the nose, boasting notes of roasted cashew, grilled peaches and vanilla. It's full-bodied, lush and easy to drink, with tropical fruit and pineapple on the finish.
One-hundred percent barrel fermented and aged for eight months in French oak barrels (32% new), the 2018 Chardonnay Mannequin offers spiced apples and poached pears notions with nuances of baking bread, toasted almonds and honeycomb. Full-bodied, the palate reveals expressive apple and pears flavors with a satiny texture and plenty of baking spices coming through on the finish.
Aged on the lees for eight months in 35% new French oak, the 2017 Chardonnay Mannequin opens with baked peaches, poached pears and brioche notes with hints of lemon curd, butterscotch and toasted almonds. Full-bodied, rich and decadently fruited with a pleasantly oily texture, it has seamless freshness and a very long, toasty finish. 11,000 cases produced.
