Domaine Ramatuelle

Domaine Ramatuelle is a wine producer based in Provence, France, working within the Côtes de Provence appellation. The domaine takes its name from the village of Ramatuelle, a hilltop commune near Saint-Tropez on the Var coast, an area long associated with rosé production.

Côtes de Provence is France's largest rosé-producing appellation, responsible for a significant share of all French rosé. The appellation's warm Mediterranean climate, mistral winds, and varied soils — ranging from schist and granite to limestone and clay — create conditions well suited to aromatic, dry rosés with good structure. The pale, pale colour and dry style associated with Provençal rosé became particularly fashionable internationally from the early 2000s onward, and the appellation's regulations reflect this identity.

The domaine's rosé is built on the classic Provençal blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Mourvèdre. Grenache contributes fruit and body, Cinsault brings freshness and a lighter texture, and Mourvèdre adds structure and a subtle savory character. This trio forms the backbone of most serious Côtes de Provence rosés and reflects the region's established winemaking tradition.
