Tasting notes
On the nose; a creamy, aromatic melange of vanilla custard, hints of aniseed, lemon curd and butter toffee. Wood shavings and dried banana chips develop with just a hint of cassis. More of those banana chips showing through on the palate, this time there's a creamy hit of barley malt too, pepped up with a little allspice. Notes of ground walnut and caramel. To finish; light spice and black pepper on the tail. Lingering notes of cereal sweetness.

About this whisky
Chivas Regal is a premium blended Scotch whisky that has been enjoyed by whisky lovers around the world for over a century. The brand was founded in 1801 by the Chivas brothers, who were grocers in Aberdeen, Scotland. They began blending whiskies to create a unique and consistent flavour profile, which quickly gained popularity among their customers.
Chivas Regal 12 Year Old is a smooth and rich blend of whiskies aged for at least 12 years. The blend includes whiskies from some of Scotland's most famous distilleries, including Strathisla, Longmorn and Glenlivet. The result is a complex and well-balanced whisky with notes of honey, vanilla, and ripe fruit.
Chivas Regal 12 Year Old is produced using a traditional method of blending whiskies from different distilleries. The master blender carefully selects and blends whiskies to create a consistent flavour profile that is unique to Chivas Regal. The whiskies are then aged in oak casks for at least 12 years, allowing the flavours to develop and mature.
Chivas Regal is known for its smooth and mellow taste, which is achieved through a combination of the blending process and the use of high-quality ingredients. The water used in the production of Chivas Regal comes from the Strathisla distillery, which is known for its pure and soft water. The barley used in the production of the whisky is also of the highest quality, and is sourced from local Scottish farms.
Chivas Regal 12 Year Old is a versatile whisky that can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in a cocktail. It is a popular choice for whisky lovers who appreciate a smooth and well-balanced blend.
Overall, Chivas Regal is a brand that is steeped in history and tradition. The Chivas brothers' commitment to quality and consistency has been passed down through generations of master blenders, who continue to produce some of the world's finest blended whiskies. Chivas Regal 12 Year Old is a testament to this legacy, and is a must-try for any whisky lover.
