Dodd's Gin - London Distillery Company

Dodd's Gin - London Distillery Company

Ralph Dodd was a talented and reckless English engineer, famous for his resounding failures: he did not materialize either his project for a tunnel under the Thames, nor his plan to found, in 1807, The London Distillery Company. In 2013, the factory finally opened and the gin that came out of its magnificent stills was named in honor of the unfortunate pioneer.

The very demanding recipe ensures the composition of a gin of the very first category: the botanical ingredients, as well as the alcoholic base. Furthermore, the distillery adheres to a policy of scrupulous respect for the environment. The distillation method is called "fractionated", that is to say that it is based on two distinct processes, for better quality.

You will savor an original composition, mixing juniper berries, archangelica roots, cardamom, honey, lime peel and bay leaves. The bouquet is dominated by the influence of cardamom: it reveals a subtly spicy character. On the palate, you will taste the flavor of extraordinary herbaceous marriages. Dodd's Gin has a very pleasant texture on the palate. With nearly 50% alcohol volume, it shows a strong character, which does not however prevent it from showing gentleness and temperance.
