Nose: Somewhat austere but with gentle wood smoke, wet wool, velvety wax and mineral notes too, but also juicy stone fruits, lychee and orange zest. Finally some white pepper, hazelnuts and hemp rope. Extremely well integrated.
Taste: A waxy, almost oily mouthfeel with plenty of salty, pepper-y maritime notes accumulated by seaweed, iodine and damp drift wood. Also salted liquorice, a hint of tar and gentle medicinal peat. But also soft notes of crème caramel, rum-soaked raisins and stewed fruits to give it some more depth and sweetness.
Finish: Long with lingering notes of breakfast tea, ashes and salt. Delicious.

Talisker is a renowned Scotch whisky producer located on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The distillery was founded in 1830 and has since become one of the most popular whisky producers in the world. Talisker is known for its unique style of production, which involves using peat smoke to dry the malted barley used in the whisky-making process. This gives Talisker whisky its distinctive smoky flavor and aroma.

Talisker produces a range of different whiskies, including its flagship 10-year-old single malt, which is known for its complex flavor profile and long, smoky finish. The distillery also produces a range of other single malts, including the Talisker 18-year-old and the Talisker 25-year-old, which are both highly sought after by whisky enthusiasts.

In addition to its single malt whiskies, Talisker also produces a range of blended whiskies, including the Talisker Skye and the Talisker Storm. These whiskies are made by blending different Talisker single malts together to create a unique flavor profile.

Talisker is located in a remote part of Scotland, which gives its whiskies a unique sense of place. The distillery is situated on the shores of Loch Harport, which provides a source of fresh water for the whisky-making process. The rugged landscape of Skye also plays a role in the flavor of Talisker whisky, as the peat used to dry the malted barley is sourced from the island's moors.

Overall, Talisker is a highly respected whisky producer that is known for its unique style of production and its range of high-quality single malt and blended whiskies. Whether you are a seasoned whisky enthusiast or a newcomer to the world of Scotch, Talisker is a producer that is definitely worth exploring.
