Located in the heart of the Loire Valley, in the small village of Amboise, lies the vineyards of La Grange Tiphaine. This family-owned winery has been producing exceptional wines since the 19th century, and is now run by Damien Delecheneau and his wife Coralie. The couple is dedicated to creating natural and organic wines that truly showcase the unique terroir of the Loire Valley.
The Loire Valley is known for its diverse range of winemaking styles, and La Grange Tiphaine is no exception. The winery produces a variety of wines, including red, white, rosé, and sparkling, using traditional grape varieties such as Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Franc. Their wines are made with minimal intervention, allowing the natural flavors and aromas of the grapes to shine through.
One of the most unique aspects of La Grange Tiphaine is their commitment to biodynamic winemaking. This holistic approach to farming and winemaking goes beyond organic practices and aims to create a self-sustaining ecosystem within the vineyard. This includes using natural composts and preparations, as well as following the lunar calendar for planting and harvesting.
The wines of La Grange Tiphaine are a true reflection of the region's terroir. The cool climate and complex soils of the Loire Valley bring a unique minerality and freshness to the wines, while the biodynamic techniques used in the vineyards add layers of complexity and depth.
One of the standout wines from La Grange Tiphaine is their "Clef de Sol" Vouvray. This 100% Chenin Blanc wine is aged for 18 months in oak barrels, resulting in a rich and complex wine with notes of honey, citrus, and toasted nuts. Another notable wine is their "Nouveau Nez" red blend, made from Cabernet Franc, Cot, and Gamay grapes. It
