The shy nose eventually reveals suggestions of steeped prune, toasted nut and underbrush. Brawny and one-dimensional, the densely concentrated palate is dominated by French oak, exhibiting coconut, raw coffee bean and vanilla alongside prune marinated in spirits and bitter notes recalling powdered sage. It's lean in terms of fruit richness while astringent tannins clench the assertive finish.
