Tasting notes
Dolin's red vermouth has a very long history, punctuated with many prizes and awards. It's unchanged recipe is a treasure. This vermouth has a lustrous coppery color, gentle aromas of fruit compote, of prunes and walnuts with grassy notes, tempered by spicy aromas like Szechwan pepper... then aromas of almond, citrus, pear and cinnamon with gingerbread, tobacco, oregano and hyssop notes. This very rich bouquet is tempered by a subtle bitter base wine.

About this vermouth
Dolin, a renowned producer of red vermouth, has a rich history that dates back to the 19th century. Established in Chambéry, France, Dolin has been crafting exceptional vermouths for over 200 years. With their deep understanding of traditional production methods and a commitment to quality, Dolin has become a household name in the world of vermouth.
The production of Dolin red vermouth is a meticulous process that involves the careful selection of ingredients and the use of time-honored techniques. The base wine used in the production is made from a blend of high-quality grapes, sourced from the nearby vineyards of Savoie. These grapes are known for their unique characteristics, which contribute to the distinct flavor profile of Dolin red vermouth.
Once the base wine is made, it is fortified with a neutral grape spirit to increase its alcohol content. This step not only helps to preserve the wine but also adds depth and complexity to the final product. The fortified wine is then infused with a secret blend of botanicals, including herbs, spices, and roots. These botanicals are carefully selected and sourced from around the world to ensure the perfect balance of flavors.
One of the key factors that sets Dolin red vermouth apart is the aging process. After the infusion of botanicals, the vermouth is aged in oak barrels for a period of time. This aging imparts additional flavors and allows the different components to harmonize, resulting in a well-rounded and sophisticated vermouth.
Dolin red vermouth is known for its vibrant red color and complex flavor profile. It offers a delightful combination of sweet and bitter notes, with hints of herbs, spices, and dried fruits. The vermouth has a smooth and velvety texture, making it a pleasure to sip on its own or as a key ingredient in classic cocktails such as the Negroni or the Manhattan.
The versatility of Dolin red vermouth makes it a favorite among mixologists and home bartenders alike. Its rich and aromatic character adds depth and complexity to a wide range of cocktails, elevating the overall drinking experience. Whether it's a classic Martini or a modern twist on a cocktail, Dolin red vermouth is sure to impress with its exceptional quality and taste.
Dolin's commitment to quality and tradition has earned them numerous accolades and a loyal following of vermouth enthusiasts
