The Uco Valley is a high-altitude wine region located in the southern portion of Mendoza province in Argentina, situated at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. This subregion sits at elevations ranging from approximately 900 to 1,200 meters above sea level, making it one of Argentina's highest and coolest wine-producing areas. The valley encompasses several districts including Tupungato, Tunuyán, and San Carlos.

The region's terroir is defined by its extreme altitude, intense solar radiation, and significant diurnal temperature variation, with warm days and cool nights that extend the growing season. Soils are predominantly alluvial and calcareous, formed by centuries of Andean snowmelt deposits.
