The 2021 Alvarinho Contacto is unlike the Muros Antigos Alvarinho, this is 100% from Quinta da Torre (located in Monção) and made with a short skin maceration (hence the name Contacto). This is textured, in the way Contacto often is, and very bright, the acidity easily winning out over what seems to be the modest fruit. It's not terribly expressive and it doesn't seem overly concentrated this year, nor especially penetrating on the finish. It's very nice and always appealing, but it didn't quite ring the bell. Maybe a little more time in bottle will help.
