Tasting notes
Fresh and chiseled, this single-plot cuvée combines fresh citrus aromas with delicate oak tannins. The finish reveals a surprise, with notes of caramel and flint. Pale golden colour, the first nose shows fresh citrus aromas, fine notes of ripe orange and attractive smoky notes of stoned fruits and fresh pebbles. On the palate, the attack is fresh with a beautiful amplitude highlighted by a very pleasant and expressive minerality. Some light and fine oak tannins notes are giving a nice structure to the wine. Long and frank finish with caramel and « gun stones » notes, typical of flint terroir.

About this wine
Henri Bourgeois is a family-owned winery that has been producing wines in the Sancerre region for over 10 generations. The winery is located in the village of Chavignol, which is known for its high-quality Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The Les Ruchons vineyard is one of the most prestigious vineyards in the region, and the wines produced from this vineyard are highly sought after by wine enthusiasts around the world.
The Sancerre Les Ruchons is a white wine that is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected to ensure only the highest quality grapes are used in the production of this wine. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature to preserve the delicate aromas and flavors of the grapes.
The wine has a pale yellow color with green reflections. On the nose, it has intense aromas of citrus fruits, such as grapefruit and lemon, as well as floral notes of elderflower and acacia. On the palate, the wine is fresh and lively, with a good balance between acidity and fruitiness. The finish is long and persistent, with a mineral note that is typical of the Sancerre region.
The Sancerre Les Ruchons is a perfect match for seafood dishes, such as oysters, scallops, and grilled fish. It also pairs well with goat cheese and other fresh cheeses. This wine is best served chilled, at a temperature of around 8-10°C.
Overall, the Henri Bourgeois Sancerre Les Ruchons is a high-quality wine that showcases the best of the Sancerre region. Its delicate aromas and flavors make it a perfect match for a wide range of dishes, and its long finish and mineral note make it a wine that will be remembered long after the last sip.
