Suave, with alluring acacia, elderflower and lemon pith notes backed by a long finish revealing racy and creamy aspects. Offers nice chalk and orange blossom details in the background, too. Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon.
Nose of grapefruit, white flowers and a touch of lemon oil. Palate is dry, taut and mineral, with citrus pith and green fig tension against a creamy Semillon core. Finish is crisp, long and refreshingly saline.
Dry white from Yquem's estate, blending Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Nose of citrus blossom, green almond and beeswax. Palate is taut and saline, with lemon pith and orchard fruit carried on bright acidity. Finish long, mineral and precise.
There was no frost at d’Yquem in 2017, and botrytis was very regular and even this vintage. The nose opens with very pure notes of freshly sliced oranges, yuzu and lemon barley water with hints of white pepper, fresh ginger and lime cordial. The incredibly rich, unctuous sweetness (148 grams per liter of residual sugar) is beautifully marbled with bright, vivacious citrus fruit and spice flavours, while lifted by well-knit freshness, and it finishes with epic length and great depth.
Bright citrus and white flowers on the nose, with a hint of fig. The palate is dry, taut and mineral, Sauvignon Blanc's zest balanced by Semillon's waxy texture. Finish is clean, saline and refreshingly long.
Bright citrus and beeswax on the nose, with a thread of honeysuckle. The palate is dense yet taut, Semillon's waxy richness cut by Sauvignon's saline edge, layered with quince and toasted almond. Long, mineral finish, still youthful for a 2012.
