The Hunter Valley is Australia's oldest commercial wine region, located in New South Wales approximately 160 kilometers north of Sydney. Established in the 1820s, this historic valley extends along the Hunter River and is divided into the Lower Hunter Valley, centered around Pokolbin, and the Upper Hunter Valley near Denman.
