On the palate, the body is globally delicate and fine, it is however enveloping, fresh and richly sapid. Particularly fruity but with a good mineral aftertaste, its white color reveals all the personality of the maremmatic terroir, reveals a precise and centered harmony and a surprising persistence, able to accompany light but ample and frank Mediterranean preparations.

Antinoris flagskib, Tignanello, udkom første gang i 1971 og vakte opsigt med sin brug af Cabernet Sauvignon i en Sangiovese-blanding og med sin praksis med lagring i små franske barriques. Antinori blev beskyldt for vinøst forræderi, men snart begyndte barrique-lagrede blandinger af Sangiovese og Cabernet at dukke op overalt i Toscana.
