The Domaine de la Vougeraie was born in 1999 from the desire of the Boisset family - the largest Burgundian wine merchant - to group together under a single banner a set of vines acquired over time. Its name evokes family roots, the village of Vougeot, the emblematic appellation of the estate which has 10 hectares there. The estate now has 34 hectares, or 67 plots and 27 appellations.
The estate was marked during these first seven years by the personality of Quebecois Pascal Marchand, its manager, who gave way to Pierre Vincent, since the 2006 vintage. This young oenologist has taken up the torch and established the already good reputation. established by the estate by imposing its style: concentration, finesse and harmony.
Fully certified in biology. In 2010, all of the Côte de Nuits vintages were vinified in whole harvests for more complexity and freshness. All the wines are aged in barrels with a proportion of new barrels varying between 20 and 100% depending on the appellations.
