2016 was a perfect vintage, the kind that only happens once very 10 to 12 years. Ruby red colour. Freshness and integrity of fruit give character to this medium bodied wine, pleasant and with an elegant aftertaste of dried flowers.
The Musella vineyards are planted with a glorious mixture of indigenous and international grape varieties including Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Croatina, Garganega, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. The estate produces an excellent white and rosé, as well as a range of classic reds including the magnificent Valpolicella Ripasso and Amarone.
The Pasqua family are stalwarts of the Veneto region and produce wines with a focus on expressing pure, natural fruit combined with the complexity from great terroir. The charming Maddalena Pasqua di Bisceglie is an ardent protector and promoter of her vineyards and her infectious enthusiasm has led them to become biodynamically certified.
Musella wines are elegant and full of character, providing a considerable step up from most Valpolicella, yet still delivering incredible value for the quality.
