More about the Producer

  • Château Leoube

    Château Leoube

Léoube’s vineyard story begins in Provence, home to the oldest vineyards in France retaining the secrets of life, perfumes and sunny foods deep in its heart.

Léoube estate is rooted between the sea and the hills, offering a unique terroir: 68 hectares of vines and 23 hectares of olive groves, all devoted to growing the grapes and olives that make their organic wines and olive oils. For more than 20 years Léoube hs been cultivating and working the soils in line with their principles of organic farming. In 1998, Léoube started the long process of converting the vineyard and olive grove; restoring the crops, redeveloping the plots, working the soil with the greatest care and planting vines according to the flow of water to avoid erosion. Banning the use of any pesticides and chemicals, to produce only what the land can offer.

As the founders of Daylesford Organic – one of the UK’s most sustainable farms – the Bamford family are passionate about environmentally friendly farming and wished to bring this natural approach to Léoube. Farming in harmony with nature. It is not constrained, but supported, considering the natural cycle of the seasons and respecting the balance of each plant in its environment. Léoube truly embodies their philosophy; to make the world of today and tomorrow more sustainable in order to leave a better planet for future generations.

  • Isabelle & Denis Pommier

    Isabelle & Denis Pommier

    Onshore Cellars - ICONIC Producer

The estate of Isabelle and Denis Pommier was founded in 1990 when the Pommiers, a young couple at the time, decided to take over 2 ha of their family’s land to produce their own wine. It took them a few years to get it down right, and their first actual bottled release was in 1994. The estate now spans 16 ha of vineyards with appellations ranging from Petit Chablis all the way up to three Chablis premiers crus (Fourchaume, Cote de Lechet and Troesmes, which is a sub-parcel in Beauroy).

Since the beginning, there has always been a strong respect for the land and the unique terroir of the region, and sustainable farming techniques – lutte raisonnée - were used. In the last couple of years, however, emboldened by the qualitative gains resulting from plowing the soils and working more naturally in the vineyards, the Pommiers are now fully organic.

  • Querciabella

    Querciabella

    Onshore Cellars - ICONIC Producer

Querciabella was founded in 1974 by Giuseppe Castiglioni at the beginning of the Super Tuscan wine movement and is now in the hands of his son Sebastiano. A lover of fine wine, Sebastiano’s passion for great winemaking combined with his uncompromising vision has meant that Querciabella has quickly established itself as one of the leading wineries in Italy, earning acclaim from the world’s most discriminating critics.

Querciabella has vineyards located throughout Tuscany’s Chianti Classico and Meremma regions. Sebastiano’s strong commitment to the environment inspired him to convert the winery to biodynamics in 2000 and all of the wines are 100% vegan. Indeed, Querciabella has one of the largest biodynamic vineyard holdings in all of Italy. The full range consists of seven different wines, reflecting the diversity of Tuscan terroir.
