93 Points - The Wine Advocate
"Pale ruby-purple colored, the 2014 Aroha Pinot Noir is more closed on the nose than the straight Pinot Noir and seemingly more austere at this youthful stage, revealing subtle earthy/underbrush, black cherries and red currants character. It has nice firmness on the medium-bodied palate, with a commendable structure supporting a great core of fruit, and it finishes long and complex." - Lisa Perrotti-Brown
Onshore Cellars - ICONIC Producer
Craggy Range is a family owned winery established in 1997 and situated in the shadow of the spectacular Te Mata Peak in the premium wine growing area of Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand.
Craggy Range produces a collection of iconic wines from multiple regions throughout the country. Owner Terry Peabody and his family pursued the single vineyard approach to winemaking, planting on green fields and bare land ensuring a focus on quality from the very beginning.
New Zealand, with its diversity of soil types offered the perfect location to plant the vines. From the stony, warm soils of the Gimblett Gravels in Hawke's Bay to the volcanic, clay soils of Te Muna Road in Martinborough these exceptional vineyards produce wines with amazing aromatics, purity and complexity.
The wines, produced for the Prestige and Family Collections are pure expressions of the unique terroir in which they were grown.
